After a certain age, we spend almost 80% of the the time we are awake at work. Toiling away hard to earn money and professional growth. Sometimes we confine ourselves to a "job" and lose focus on a "career". There are 2 reasons for this... Either you are in the comfort zone or you are in the fear of losing your "job".
You miss out on making your life extraordinary!!!
I started working at the age of 18 back in 2005. Odd jobs, daily contracts and the lot... Just so that I do not add to the financial burden of my family for my personal expenses. It was then that I realized one thing... I was working just for the money.
I was never happy doing what I did...
Only happy when I got paid!
This changed my perspective completely. This led to my first shocker of a decision in my career. After campus placement, I chose the job that paid me half of my other offer... Just because I enjoyed it more during my training period.
Rest is legendary.

Till date I have worked for major brands, boutique agencies, start ups, consulted at various levels and also had 3 entrepreneurial ventures across multiple industries and roles. Experience that is invaluable... but hardly justifiable in a standard interview.
Where I couldn't work... I consulted!
Where I couldn't consult... I worked for free!
Where I couldn't work for free... I built!

Money is important!! Not as a constant factor... But as a quantifiable variable to measure your professional growth. - Nitten Nair
